Hello All! We are here still. At home and hanging on. I know when I am waiting for the birth of a baby in another family I often wonder "Did I miss it? Will they tell us right away when the baby is born?" So I thought I'd share a few pics and words to let you know that we are still here. It's definitively to the point when we wonder "Is today the day?" I see the signs but one never knows exactly how to interpret them. Time will reveal all. I had a few nights of insomnia that I didn't appreciate too much but last night I did get some good rest. A good night's rest is key for me.
We are hanging in there with our lessons. I push it as hard as I can in the morning and then we usually take it easy in the afternoon. My main push is to see if we can get all the math lessons in before the year is out.
I've been doing my best to keep the housework somewhat manageable. I'm trying to keep up on laundry, dishes, and outright disaster around the house. Since my pregnancy began right when we moved into this house, I wasn't able to get things as organized as I would have liked to. So now that my nesting instinct is kicking in, I find myself a bit frustrated with the inability to have things as orderly as I'd like. I just remind myself that this won't last forever and in a couple months I can begin to think about organizing our home. But I am a realist and also realize that it will take some time to get to used to having four kids. One thing at a time. More order will come . . . slowly.
We are having a nice Advent. The book and calendar system that I devised has been great! We are all having fun with it. I'll have to share a picture of their calendars sometime.
Oh yes, and I had a nice birthday. Thank you for your cards, calls, gifts, and thoughts. I am officially an old woman! And I feel like one too at this point. ;)
Alrighty, time to dig out some lunch for the crew!
Love these pics! Nutmeg is a character and sure sparkly here. Love Sage's green thing, and Basil's little snowman on the deck...So since help is needed, I hope you have a few Swiffer dusters for the children,,,,and Dad...The long handled ones would be good! Walmart!!!
