Spring?
I think maybe it has finally arrived but I'm still seeing snow/rain on the 10 day forecast. Crazy. We hit a spot of sun last night, so the kids and I ventured outside for a bit while my sweet hubby stayed on the phone with customer service for 2 hours. What a guy. He takes such a good care of us.
Sorry about the lack of pictures lately. Busyness, you know.

Nutmeg helped me pull out old plants for a few minutes . . . |

before leaving with her brother to . . . |

roll down the hill. As you can see, there are several piles of junk from the previous
owner that we need to haul away. |

Old tomato plants. |

And guess what this is. |

Beauteous! |

A whole chaotic field of it. Yeah!!
That's asparagus. I was going to wait until things were final until I shared my happy prospects but I'm just no good
at keeping secrets (my own anyhow, I can keep yours). Anyhow, the previous owner sold his asparagus at the farmer's market he had so much. I've already talked to the owner of our local natural foods store and he'd be happy to sell my asparagus. So I might just be a little business owner. Too fun. The asparagus lady. We'll see if this happy prospect materializes. I do need to figure out about the tax situation. I've heard that I may not have to deal with it because it wouldn't earn enough to have to report. I'll let you know or heck, if you have time on your hands, you could let me know.
This weekend we plan to rent a rototiller so we can get to work on the garden. And Mr. Doug will mow over the asparagus to cut back the old growth to make room for the new. I'm excited to see this stuff grow. Pictures to come!
