It is time to figure out how to tame our wild jungle (ie the garden). It is going to take some serious work. We haven't had the time (or budgeted for it) to really research how to gain control in the garden after last year's weeds became 7 feet tall. We figure we'll pull out as many of the tall ones as we can now. Fortunately the ground is nice and soft (for now). If the weather cooperates Doug will mow it down this weekend and then till it up. After that we'll be raking it to pieces. We'll see how this pans out. After we plant we really need to lay something down in the walkways and around plants to keep down some of the weeds (straw, corn fodder, etc?) Do share any tips/ideas!
Trying to breathe deeply about the lack of time thing as always BUT in the meantime, it is good to be alive! GREAT to be working outside as a family! We LOVE that! It is so good for all of us. Funny but I have to say that working in the garden is one of my favorite ways to spend quality time with my husband. Just love it!
This is great to start on the garden...on good helper as always...Nutmeg is super busy... and daddy .... Mace is content and cute...and the older boys are sure enjoying the swing. Sage looks like he is growing and catching up in height...
