Hello, hello.
We are alive and well up here in Wisconsin rural country. I'm missing you and this little blog action. It really is fulfilling outlet for me and a great way to communicate with you, friends and family. My absence here has confirmed this. My Tech. Support guy is my hubby and goodness, life is FULL. He assures me he will work on it. I'm sure those of you with young families understands how it goes. Work life is full for him, teaching-at-home life is full for me. We end our days with a screeching halt, scramble to get dinner on the table, clean up the kitchen, and then its almost time to get ready for bed. We do a few things before we fall into bed. Phew.
Anyhow, we'll be back with pictures and a proper update in due time. Whenever that may be.
In the meantime, autumn is under way!! I love this time of year. The temperatures are dropping. The hats, sweaters, and regular shoes are making an appearance. The smells coming from the kitchen are from our garden pumpkins, our tree apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves.. . . You get the idea.
Academic lessons are in full swing. We are finding new routines there. We are happy to be learning Latin together as a family. We are delighting in Winnie-the-Pooh over breakfast or lunch, We continue the story of the world from the viewpoint of the ancient Romans. The boys and I have been busy with our number charts up to 10,000. The boys are becoming familiar with key word outlines and rewriting paragraphs. They are asking for more of Mr. Pudewa on the big screen.
We've harvested our pumpkin patch and potato field. Our apples have a blushed pink, signaling they are ready to be picked. I'll be looking for ways to put up that bounty for winter. Yeah! Doug resurfaced the driveway a few weeks ago. This weekend we are hoping the weather cooperates so that we can paint the deck.
Well, I was hoping to chat more here but our day must begin. Breakfast and "Morning Time" await.
I love and miss you all! Do keep in touch, will you?
Love you too! I would love to be a mouse in the corner and see what they all are doing. Wondering also about Mace and his ever growing skills!!! He sure is ready for....tada...Baby Einstein~
