O King of the gentiles/O Rex gentium

O King of the gentiles and their desired One, the cornerstone that makes both one: come, and deliver man, whom you formed out of the dust of the earth.

Latin:
O Rex gentium, et desideratus earum, lapisque angularis, qui fcis utraque unum: ven, et salva hominem, quem de limo formasti.

References from Scripture:

Revelation 15:3
Psalm 118:22
Isaiah 28:16
Matthew 21:42
Mark 12:10
Luke 20:17
Acts 4:11
Ephesians 2:20
I Peter 2:6

Relevant verse from O Come, O Come Emmanuel:
O come, Desire of nations, bind,
In one the hearts of all mankind;
Bid Thou our sad divisions cease,
And be Thyself our King of peace.

Few thoughts:
The nation of Israel is God's chosen people but look at all the Scripture references to us, all nations of the earth. We are indeed His children as well. He LOVES us all!!

The third line in this verse of "O Come Emmanuel" speaks deeply to my sore heart. "Bid Thou our sad divisions cease." Even today my heart is rent by the sadness due to division. I think I will listen to this song and sing in my heart "Bid Thou our sad divisions cease. And be Thyself our King of Peace." Oh the therapy of the written word and music. What a gift.

I found this taped to the kitchen window yesterday. When we have the grumpies around here we often have each of us say a number of things for which we are thankful. It's a good degrumper (like the new word?).  ;)
