Paul Coakley. It hasn't been good. The challenges are daunting, it seems. But if you believe in God, you believe in miracles. It's hard to know God's will at times. What is His will in all this? Who knows? We do know He hears our prayers. We don't know what the answer will be but we knows He hears and loves each of us. Even if He says "no," prayer still changes us in the meantime. And prayer changing us is a very good thing.
Anyhow, Paul. Here are the new huge challenges. Paul has had some blood clots (more than one I believe) and a couple of minor strokes. They have found some tumors in his brain AND a hole in his heart. At first they did not give him anti-coagulants because the tumors were already bleeding in his brain and anti-coagulants would make them worse. Then they found the hole in his heart. Repairing the hole seems to be the main priority. So they gave him a lose dose of anti-coagulants that did make the bleeding in the brain worse. What I know from today was that they tried to operate to repair the hole today but it had to be canceled at the last moment because of a fever that flared. That's all I know at this point.
I'm praying for a miracle.
He is on my prayer list...daily. This is a tough challenge. I hope Vanderbuilt can handle it...I hope his insurance has kicked in and his job id secure while he is fighting these problems. i think you said other surgeries have taken place.
