We drove down to Madison the other day to check out some thrift stores there. I've been in search of two more chairs to finish off my kitchen table/chair project. Four stores and no luck. Funny thing is the next day I went back to our Baraboo Habitat for Humanity Restore to see if they still had the high chair I was looking at last week. They did. I picked that up (so glad I did, it ended up fitting perfectly with our table) and discovered they had a whole stash of chairs I hadn't noticed before. So more sanding, reupholstering, spraying, and staining for me this weekend.
Anywho, we fit in some summer fun in the midst of our thrift shopping. Nutmeg had a ball with all the fancy high heels and prom dresses. Mace raced for the toy sections. We picnicked at a park and checked out the zoo. On the way home we stopped at a Toys R Us. The kids had never been! Eyes as round as saucers. The boys were able to buy the Lego sets they had been saving up to purchase online.
Twas a good day!
