Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there! Thank you for all you do and who you are!
Our family went on a super outing this afternoon. We headed down to Spring Green for a walk and some tasty grub. The six of us took a warm stroll through part of the Spring Green Preserve. What a great place! The Wisconsin Desert. We will definitly be back to explore the whole trail. Since it is a sand prairie we spied some interesting plant, insect, and animal life. Doug and the kids saw some kind of snake.
After our walk, we headed over to Freddy Valentine's. Doug and I had been there for our anniversary three years ago and loved it, so we had to go back. Remember that post? I told you then that this restuatant is an old bank. This time around we were able to sit in the vault!
On the way down we finished listening to Indian in the Cupboard. The kids enjoyed this imaginative story! On the way back we began The Black Stallion.
