We had a wonderful day for Mace's birthday this last Saturday.  I heard him tell someone "I love my birthday. Don't you love it?"  :)  Success! 

This year seemed like a great year to try out a real tree for the first time. We were ready! So we decided to make an activity of it on Mace's birthday. Christmas Tree Success!!  I looked around a little and found a tree farm about 45 minutes from here. I really felt like going for a country drive. It all worked together perfectly!  The weather was sunny and gorgeous: perfect for a country drive!

Saturday morning we loaded up the car with food and the small grill and then headed for the pool for about an hour. After the pool, we headed out for our adventure. We headed up grilling out by a state recreation site before the tree farm. It felt so good to get some fresh air!

We loved Miller's Christmas Trees. You gotta love those warm, friendly Wisconsin farmers! They are the best.

Breathing in that fresh pine scent . .  Mmmmm.  . .

Saturday night we enjoyed a super delicious carrot cake and How The Grinch Stole Christmas.

Good times.
