Bountiful Blessings

We had a beautiful weekend around these parts! The word that came to my mind was 'delicious.' As we drove around, I just drank up all that delicious beauty.

Saturday Doug cleaned out the garage while I got some shopping done in town. Wahoo! For the first time in seven months our cars are parked in the garage. Yeah! And before the first snow. So very happy about that. I did my usual run to our charming downtown for the farmer's market and The Grainery. And this Saturday for a costume sale that the theatre guild was putting on to clear out their supply of costumes. Thanks FIL for the tip!! But goodness, I had forgotten that the Fair on the Square was this weekend and had to park my car two blocks away. Good thing I had a stroller to carry all those heavy fall vegetables! Aahh, the price we pay to live in a lively town that people like to visit. ;)

Saturday was the work day and Sunday was our rest day. The way it should always be! After church we went for a drive to see the leaves and take a few pictures. After that we headed home to make some pumpkin cookies and head out again to enjoy a lookout spot. Pumpkin spice cookies, spiced apple cider, leaf collecting, soccer, tag, and a lovely chat with an older couple enjoying the beauty as well. A good day full of thanksgiving!

A then home to a nourishing bowl of borsh. Eat up baby boy!
