We had a rare sunny, warm day yesterday, so we were super efficient with our morning studies in order to get outside for a dose of fresh air. Bringing along the snowshoes who have been the best bet but I just didn't have the time or energy. The snow was super deep and difficult to hike through. Nutmeg and I didn't make it far but the boys took off and made it to the lake. It was all good though. We got some Vitamin D and fresh air.
In the afternoon Basil, Mace, and I headed down to Madison to see one of our favorite docs (who moved from our neck of the woods down there! boohoo). We had Basil checked out to make sure he's clear of the Lyme's Disease that he got last summer. He's looking great! We'll have one more check this summer at the year-out mark. It seems we caught it quick enough. Doc says that the ticks were terrible last summer because we had had several warm winters but the cold temps this year will definitely knock them down. Yeah for that.
Basil, Sage and Nutmeg look so happy and healthy in these "vitamin D" outdoor times! 40 degrees is great. We actually came close to 50 yesterday on the 19th... it seemed like it was hot outside!! but alas, it cooled down after dark. I see Mace enjoyed his time...snoozing. I am so glad you were wise and got Gabe treated as soon as you suspected... last year for the Lyme's, and this currant report after your appointment was super good. Too many people never get tested, and so many things happen to those folks later in life...
