Well, nothing earth shattering going on around here. Just crusin' right along. I went to the dentist this week. Looking good. It's funny. When I was younger I was always having something to keep an eye on or fix but for the last couple years, nothing. It's lookin' good in there. My bet is the lack of sugar in my diet. I do eat much less sugar than I used to; that must be it.
Doug has been working on our main floor bathroom lately. I'm so excited to give it a face-lift. He got the walls primed this week, so tomorrow I'll get to see how the paint color looks that I chose. Cross the fingers, right? I should have snapped a "before" picture. I always forget that.
Meatball pizza. Yummers! The pizza stones are fantastic Grandma. Thanks!!! |
We seem to be making good strides with our longer multiplication and division problems. Wahoo again! We have been memorizing the Nicene Creed and discussing it line by line. What a fruitful, interesting undertaking that has been for the three of us. I love that they/we are understanding each line that we memorize and can say credo (I believe, in Latin) with our hearts and minds.
The nature study portion of our Charlotte Mason education is sorely lacking. No easy task to break from the books, dress everyone up, and head out into the cold. Oh poor me, right? :) Mace's new boots arrived in the mail, so we had to try them out. Yesterday we headed out to Devil's Lake to tromp around. The boots seem to work pretty well but the weather was cccoooolld. Windy. So the venture wasn't much of a success. So we walked for a bit, jumped back in the car, and drove home to make a pot of hot tea.
Alrighty, time to make some lunch. Have a fantastic weekend!
Nutmeg and I made some play-dough. A sparkly batch. :)
Love it...glad you got a good checkup at the Dentist...and cannot wait to see pics of the main bath when done...Nutmeg has some great playdough there..Mace is indeed walking and getting around everywhere...and someone is always willing to read to him...so sweet! Maybe a bucket or a few boxes could be used so he can throw the ball into the box...and get a prize when he does it? glad you like your baking stones. Now I am waiting for some of Doug's famous pizza!
