I thought I'd drop a quick line to say "hello." Unfortunately my blogging might be mostly halted for a while. Our computer seems to be on its last leg. No virus problems or anything. It just won't charge because the piece where the power cord plugs in is cracking. So we will have to see what we will do. It probably is time for a new one anyhow. We'll see. No worries, we'll get it figured out. Just wanted you to know that I'll be back regularly one of these days. I'll poke in once a while but I won't be able to share any pictures because I'm using an iPad.
What's new here? Lots, I suppose. We are late getting our garden this year but I am super optimistic about the garden this summer. I am not expecting miracles but I am hopeful that we are making some good progress in gardening. If you are a beginner gardener like me, check out this site. I love it! It has helped me so much. oldworldgardenfarms.com
Mace, oh boy! So much. I wish I could share pictures but I'll describe the best I can. (Just a warning, I may have to sign off quickly and just hit "publish" before getting too far. Math time here.) So Mace is into animals. Couple of reasons. First, Mace received some neat farm animal figurines at Christmas from "Tall Grandma." We were playing animals with Mace by saying the name of the animal and making the animal's noise. So now Mace carries his cow around the house and says "Mmm." Toddler for "moo." He carries all his animals around. Secondly Mace has the board book "The Very Busy Spider. " This book is also filled with various farm animals and their sounds. Oh my! Mace has a passion for this book. He will ask for it to be read to him five times in a row by continuously shoving the book at you. He's not only having me read it to him but the older kids as well. Last week we were on our deck together and I pointed out the neighbor's horses to him. He was quite interested. The wheels were turning!! Now he also has an toddler art book about horses. I read this many times to him during church on Sunday. Sunday afternoon I took him over to the neighbors to see the horses! Oh my!! You should have seen the child. His eyes were bugging out of his head. He just couldn't believe it! Real live horses. There were horses on both sides of the road. He just kept looking back and forth, back and forth. Trying to cross the road again and again. He kept pointing his little finger and waving it up and down. He just couldn't believe. Now I am questioning the wisdom of taking him over there. You know why, right? Oh yes, you got it. He's going to try to escape our yard whenever he can to go see those horses. He keeps looking over there. Anyhow, Mace has a new interest. So one of these days very soon, I'm going to get him a new figurine: a horse.
More to say but I gotta help with some Math and then read some ancient Roman history.
Luv ya!!
