Summer Bucket List

Hi There!

Enjoying your summer? We are having a nice summer around these parts. We are enjoying lots of summer activities. Checking off those items on our bucket list. Here are some things of the highlights these past couple weeks:

  • "Inside Out" at the drive-in (my first drive-in ever!)
  • slip and slide
  • homemade popsicles
  • having friends over
  • play dates at the park
  • swimming at Devil's Lake
  • Grandma's visit, fun activities together
  • swimming lessons
  • Basil tried out lacrosse for a couple weeks
  • Sage is doing Junior Zookeeper Training this week
  • raspberry picking
  • finished Math for the year. Wahoo!!
  • lots of good books from the library
  • Lifest in Oshkosh this weekend
  • Our 11th anniversary: date night at The Blue Spoon
  • Rides at the County Fair

Pics mostly from Lifest. Big Christian music festival. Lots of big names, camping, carnival rides, etc. Since we have little ones we just did Saturday We stayed the night at the university conference center (same accommodations as the homeschool conference: the kids love it!) I figured we wouldn't get any sleep if we camped on the grounds. Those bands play late. We had a blast! We mostly had a Matt Maher weekend and played in the Kid Zone.

I knew it was going to be a hot weekend, so I bought squirt guns to help the kids keep cool. Oh, how it worked! They loved it! Here the boys are having a water gun fight during a couple of artists.

We decided to ditch our blanket spot in the back and get near the stage for Matt Maher portion. So glad we did! It was a very special time for all of us.

I picked these this morning before the kids got up! The raspberries are rampant this year. They are so thick I can't even push my way through the tall canes. We  must pull some out and move them to a better place. Tame them a bit, so we can get to them easier. Love em.

Basil was complaining we had nothing for breakfast and then I see Mace: happy as can be. He smiles "I found breakfast and its YUMMY!!"

He's having a great week!
