Hello there,
It's the first week of Advent but I thought I'd first week you a belated Happy Thanksgiving weekend. Don't you just love this holiday? A time set aside just to give thanks!
We had a good weekend. On Thanksgiving Day we ate a very satisfying meal. Whew! Gotta be honest: it's a lot of work! It makes me question if it is all really worth it but when I see the excitement of the kids, I realize it is. They love that huge Thanksgiving meal. Doug and I appreciate the leftovers that last for at least three meals of no cooking. :)
Friday a dear college friend and roommate stayed the day and overnight with her family. The kids ran in circles during the day and she and I burned the midnight oil talking. Twas so good.
Saturday we went into Baraboo for some light-hearted fun and errand-running.
Sunday was the first day of Advent. I am ready for a quiet (as possible) season of contemplation. We need this season.

I see some children I do not know...I think... Adorable pictures! One is Mace turned around, another cutie and then Nutmeg. The child next to Nutmeg looks like Kyra when she was younger! Mace is sure getting big and intellectual with his balancing of the blocks! I love the whole family by the horse and carriage. Who is the tall girl that is a college friend? That cannot be Joy... Blessing to all...Your meal looks fantastic!!.
