Hello there,

Third week of lessons. Things are going very well so far. The new planning fits us quite well. I must say that I highly recommend the US history/Marine Biology/US Geography Through Literature (Beautiful Feet Books) arrangement. It is such a pleasing combination!  Lots of serendipitous overlapping going on here.

We've had some unseasonably warm summer-like weather this past week. High 80's this last weekend. We had a house guest this last weekend. Last time I really knew her she was a girl and now she's well into adulthood. I coached her for a couple running seasons. She was such a dynamite runner. Now she could out-coach (and run) me with her eyes closed and her hands tied behind her back. She stayed with us so that she could run a half marathon in the Dells. I cheered her on for her race and then we just hung out for the rest of the weekend.
