Well, we aren't the most organized or scientific this year but I do think something will grow out there. I haven't even had the chance to buy and add amendments to the ground. So we'll just have to wait and see what happens. It is fantastic to get out there and dig around in the dirt together. The other day Sage says "We're half farmer and half Amish!" I asked why half Amish. He answers "Oh because we help each other." Aww. Well, I'm not sure how Amish we are but I take that as a tremendous compliment. Thanks buddy.
Yesterday we planted kale, broccoli plants, carrots, peas, lettuce, and spinach. Today Nutmeg and I planted red onions, sweet onions, red potatoes, and fingerling potatoes. Goodness, I know nothing about growing onions and potatoes. I did a few google searches last night and this morning and we were off to put them in the ground. I'm not expecting much this year but its a beginning anyhow. We'll get more scientific next year.
Nutmeg was a super helper this morning. She helped to plant a whole row of onions and a whole row of potatoes. What a champ!
Well, this is so great! I love Sages comment! I am impressed with Nutmeg helping you plant and sticking with it. there are not many or any three year olds that stay that focused! Congrats, Nutmeg for being such an amazing helper, and the pictures prove it. I like your markers..the kids love to paint rocks...They will not blow away and are easy to see.
